Job description

We are looking for a FinTech Application Trade Support professional to become part of our client's IT Team. This role involves assisting Equities Front Office Traders, Middle Office Users, and Compliance on the trading floor, troubleshooting real-time trading issues, and addressing compliance inquiries, requiring expertise in OMS and EMS. This is an on-site position located in Midtown Manhattan.

Description

  • Assist Equities Front Office Traders, Middle Office Users, and Compliance on the trading floor while monitoring trading systems and FIX network connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot real-time trading issues, investigate compliance inquiries, and leverage expertise in Order Management Systems (OMS) and Execution Management Systems (EMS).
  • Communicate major incidents and escalate issues to stakeholders and vendors, while gathering requirements from traders for tracking and prioritization.
  • Provide business specifications to vendors and development teams for enhancements, share workflows with support and QA teams to improve regression testing, and maintain the knowledge base, support scripts, documentation, and procedures.

THIS POSITION IS ONSITE FOR ALL 5 WORK DAYS IN MIDTOWN MANHATTAN!

Profile

  • Over 5 years of experience supporting critical applications on a trading floor, specifically within the Equities business, including US Markets and areas like ETF, Electronic Trading, Global Program Trading, and Options.
  • Strong expertise in high-touch trading workflows, FIX protocol, OMS, IOI, market data, and CTM, alongside proficiency in addressing regulatory and compliance requests such as RegNMS, RegSHO, CAT, ACT, ORF, and TRACE.
  • Familiarity with Linux, SQL, JIRA, Excel, and scheduling tools like Tidal, Control-M, or Autosys, complemented by effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and capable of prioritizing tasks in high-pressure environments; experience with scripting and automation is a plus.
