Job description

Our client is currently seeking an Event Coordinator, who will report directly to the Senior Director of Development & Events and the Executive Director & COO. The Event Coordinator is primarily responsible for executing fundraising events in multiple cities, coordinating informational changes and additions to the website, and assisting with the development of marketing materials.

Client Details

Our client is an international nonprofit foundation dedicated to raising money and funding programs for the prevention and treatment of child abuse. Through a large network of active volunteers, Committee members, and Board members in association with a staff based in New York City, fundraising and grant making is conducted in the US, Canada, UK, Cayman Islands, and Hong Kong.

Description

  • Work with Event Committees to create and support all aspects of annual events, including attending all meetings (on-site or virtually)
  • Prepare and manage event budgets
  • Manage RSVP and revenue sheets
  • Manage vendor/partner relationships
  • Execute all event set-up, tear down and follow-up processes
  • Work with Senior Director of Development & Events and the Executive Director/COO on developing marketing materials
  • Update and post all events to the website
  • Collaborate with other team members on ongoing projects
  • Other administrative duties as assigned

Profile

  • 2-3 years' experience in event planning and database management
  • Knowledge of Raiser's Edge required
  • A. or B.S. Degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, InDesign preferred
  • Excellent verbal, writing and interpersonal skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to interact professionally on the phone, by email, and in person with all levels of donors, members, staff, and the general public
  • Strong organization and time management skills required
  • Candidate must be a creative thinker with the ability to conceptualize new ideas and flexibility working in a fast-paced environment with multiple, changing deadlines
  • Confident self-starter, ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a small team
  • Candidate must be able to show initiative and anticipate needs
  • Willing and able to travel domestically several times a year for events
  • Candidate must be able to work extended hours for events
