The salary range for this position is $90,000/yr. - $95,000/yr. dependent on prior work history and experience.

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday

Responsibilities:
The Building Services Manager supervises all Building Services Associates and Door Persons. This individual manages the Building Services team's day-to-day operation and ensures all residents are greeted warmly and professionally, as well as ensuring that all corridors, public spaces, and common areas are clean and orderly. In addition, this person trains their team to anticipate resident needs and serves as the team's primary point of contact for resident concerns.

Ensure all guests and residents are warmly welcomed to the community.

Help manage the Quality Enhancement requirements for the hospitality team.

Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, developing, and evaluating assigned staff.

Directly oversee the prompt distribution of internal and external resident communications and other in-home deliveries, and deliver items as needed.

Facilitate and fulfill special requests for residents.

Perform duties of the Fire Safety Director in the absence of the Fire Safety Director, except supervise all Fire Safety Staff training.

Complete the daily check of the availability of Fire Safety wardens and deputies.

Assist the Fire Safety Director in carrying out the requirements of the FDNY plan and Fire Code/Rules in the presence of the Fire Safety Director.

Ensure cleaning services for business offices, interior and exterior public and common areas are completed, and amenities of the community are in a safe, neat, clean, and attractive condition, and may conduct cleaning as needed

Ensure that assigned staff maintain extremely high standards of customer service.

Ensure that the building services team is knowledgeable and able to answer questions regarding local stores, cultural institutions, attractions, and services.

Supervise and conduct quality assurance checks of rent-ready apartments, model rooms, and common areas and verifies their condition is consistent with brand standards.

Arrange for business services such as faxes and express mail services.

May drive Company vehicle from community to social and other various destinations (only if required by community and if in possession of a valid drivers license).

Available to cover staffing when needed.

May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Qualifications:
Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience in a luxury setting; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience in a supervisory capacity, including directing a department, training, coaching, and mentoring staff.

Basic First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.

Bilingual/multilingual language skills are a plus.

Must successfully complete all Atria specified training programs.

Valid driver's license, preferred.

Must satisfactorily meet and be in compliance with Company motor vehicle and Travel Policy standards.

Must possess or be capable of completing the FDNY Fire and Life Safety Director certification requirements within the first six (6) months of employment.

Current FDNY Fire Safety Director Certification Preferred.

Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.

Able to safely use basic maintenance and landscape-related hand tools and light power tools, such as shovels, rakes, blowers, mowers, drills, saws, sanders, buffers, vacuuming, extractors, etc.

Building Services Manager may be required to work with caustic materials and cleaning equipment in order to fulfill their job responsibilities. They must be able to understand English well enough to read and comply with safety instructions for proper use of such materials and machinery to protect themselves and others (employees, residents, and guests) from injury.
