Description:A&E Real Estate was founded in 2011 to invest in multifamily properties in the New York City Metropolitan area, focusing on workforce housing. A&E acquires, operates, improves, and manages the properties, and currently owns approximately 17,000 apartments in New York City.

The Accounts Payable Utilities Manager's main responsibility will be responsible for opening and maintaining all utility accounts.

  • Tasks will include coordination with the India Accounts Payable Team and the assigned utility Rep.
  • Oversees ConEd/ National Grid / other service providers' deposits, refunds, and other accounting tasks.
  • Ensures that all new accounts and all closed accounts are entered into the Utilities Database.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of the utilities database
  • Some other duties will include assisting with various accounting and administrative tasks.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in accounting or similar field.
  • At least one year experience in accounting work experience, especially in a corporate setting.
  • Possess an excellent understanding of computer programs, such as Microsoft Access and Excel, as well as knowledge of general accounting theories and guidelines.
  • Strong familiarity with computerized accounting systems.
  • Ability to perform basic and higher mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to work as a team player and promote a cooperative work atmosphere.
  • Strong skills in performing data entry and word processing.
  • Strong ability in communicating with diverse groups of customers both verbally and in writing.
