Job description
:
A successful Construction Supervisor shall be responsible for oversight of one or more aerial and/or underground construction crews; responsible for ensuring that the installation, maintenance, and/or repair of a customer's telecommunications equipment is completed safely, timely, and accurately.
Responsibilities:
Manage in house and subcontracted resources performing outised plant (OSP) construction and activation
Oversee all on site and offsite construction to monitor compliance and safety regulations
Accurately forecast resource requirements based on completion deadlines
Ensure quality construction standards while using proper construction techniques
Communicate effectively with customer to inform of project progress, issues ad projected completion dates.
Review tasks and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Develop a strong working relationship with managers to maximize new opportunities for revenue
Conduct pre-construction meetings
Supervise, develop, and provide leadership to employees of assigned department or project
Additional Duties as assigned.
:
3+ years OSP construction experience with emphasis on aerial and/or underground, with a minimum 6 months of supervisory experience
Understanding of all facets of the aerial and underground construction process
Project management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks
Strong Microsoft Office computer skills
Able to multitask and prioritize.
High school diploma or equivalent
Must have a valid unrestricted driver's license of at least 2 years.
Physical Requirements:
Work is performed both inside and outside in all weather conditions. The candidate must possess the ability to lift and manipulate materials and equipment up to 100 pounds. Be able to work standing, at shoulder height and overhead, for extended periods.
Additional Requirements:
Candidates offered employment are required to submit to a pre-employment background check and pre-employment drug screening. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
