Job description

Job Summary: The HRIS Reporting and Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing the payroll process and managing the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) reporting functions. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with regulations, and effective utilization of HRIS for data reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Management:

Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payroll disbursement.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

Manage payroll audits and respond to inquiries related to payroll discrepancies.

HRIS Management:

Maintain and optimize the HRIS to ensure accurate employee data and reporting capabilities.

Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for management, highlighting key metrics and trends.

Collaborate with IT and HR teams to implement system upgrades and enhancements.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Analyze payroll and HR data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.

Develop and maintain dashboards for key HR metrics to support decision-making.

Ensure data integrity and confidentiality in all reporting processes.

Team Leadership:

Foster a collaborative environment within the HR team to enhance overall efficiency.

Policy Development:

Assist in the development and implementation of payroll and HRIS policies and procedures.

Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes impacting payroll and HRIS operations.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Proven experience in payroll management and HRIS reporting (typically 5+ years).

Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.

Proficiency in HRIS software and reporting tools (e.g., Paylocity, Rippling, ADP, Workday, SAP).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Payroll (CPP) or HRIS management.

Experience in a multi-state payroll environment.

Familiarity with data analytics tools.
