Job description
Overview:
We are seeking experienced, compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our dedicated healthcare team. As a valued member of our staff, the LPN will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment. This position offers the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, from acute care to long-term care, and requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional care to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Duties:
The LPN will be responsible for providing a range of nursing services, including administering medications, performing wound care, and assisting with patient hygiene and mobility. The ideal candidate will have experience in the management of various medical conditions, including respiratory and cardiovascular disease, and will be knowledgeable in the use of various medical equipment and devices. Additional responsibilities will include:
- Providing patient care in a variety of settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care facilities
- Assisting with the management of patients with chronic conditions, such as diabetes and hypertension
- Performing venipuncture and phlebotomy procedures
- Caring for patients with infectious diseases, including administering medications and providing wound care
- Assisting with the insertion and maintenance of nasogastric tubes, gastric lavage, and catheters
- Working closely with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Maintaining accurate and timely records of patient care and medical treatment
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of new policies and procedures
Skills:
The successful candidate will possess the following skills:
- Strong clinical skills, with the ability to work in a variety of settings
- Experience in senior care and the management of chronic conditions
- Proficiency in sterile processing and the use of medical equipment and devices
- Ability to perform venipuncture and phlebotomy procedures
- Knowledge of neonatal ventilator care and the management of respiratory and cardiovascular disease
- Experience in catheter care and the management of patients with infectious diseases
- Familiarity with PICU procedures and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to maintain accurate and timely records of patient care and medical treatment
