Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Director of IT to oversee our technology department and ensure seamless communication, networking, and IT services throughout the organization. This role will combine leadership, project management, and hands-on technical expertise to enhance our IT infrastructure and support operations in our entertainment venue.
Salary Range: $135,000-$145,000 annually
For FT roles: Benefits: Health, Dental and Vision insurance, 401(k) savings plan, 401(k) matching, and paid time off (vacation days, sick days, and 12 holidays).
This position will remain open until Dec 31, 2024
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:
Direct and manage the IT department, including budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.
Develop and implement strategic IT initiatives that align with organizational goals and enhance operational efficiency.
Technology Management:
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of all IT systems, including data networking, voice systems, and audio-visual technology.
Ensure that all technology resources, including internet services, ticketing systems, and telecommunications, are reliable and secure.
Stay current with technology trends and evaluate new tools and systems for potential implementation.
Project Oversight:
Lead and manage IT projects from planning through execution, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Coordinate with internal departments and external contractors to meet technology needs for various events and operations, including live performances and exhibitions.
Team Development & Support:
Train and mentor IT staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
Provide end-user support and training for all technology applications and systems used by venue staff and exhibitors.
Systems Management:
Manage the maintenance and repair of internal IT systems, including data and voice networking equipment.
Monitor system performance, conduct regular audits, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Develop and maintain documentation for systems operations, disaster recovery plans, and standard operating procedures.
Vendor Management:
Liaise with technology vendors and service providers to ensure quality and timely support.
Manage and negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
8+ years of experience in IT management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong expertise in network/server administration, VOIP systems, and telecommunications.
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware) and various IT systems (e.g., Microsoft Server, SQL, LAN, TCP/IP).
Proven experience in project planning and management.
Relevant certifications such as MCSE, MCITP, CCNA, or CompTIA A+ are preferred.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with users of varying technical abilities.
Physical Demands:
Ability to work at heights of up to 40 feet and lift up to 40 lbs unaided.
Must be able to stand, bend, and climb for extended periods.
