Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our client s outpatient gastroenterology practice. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a specialized field, providing care for patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions. Our client is a leading outpatient gastroenterology practice dedicated to providing comprehensive care for patients with gastrointestinal disorders. Their team of experienced professionals is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and imaging studies.
• Perform and assist with procedures related to gastroenterology, under the supervision of a physician as needed.
• Provide patient education on diagnosis, treatment options, and preventive measures.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with advancements in gastroenterology.

Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted NP or PA license, valid in NY.
• Interest in gastroenterology and a willingness to learn and grow in the field.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

Please note- The annual base salary range is $110k to $160k. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
