Overview:
TRC is seeking a highly motivated Environmental Project Manager to join our growing Engineering and Remediation Practice in Clifton Park, New York. The ideal candidate will have experience with New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Programs and regulations.
TRC's Clifton Park office is a vibrant, dynamic, and fast-paced work environment that provides access to a broad spectrum of professional experiences in an office that thrives on teamwork, development, and growth.
Potential to work from various nearby locations, as well as a flexible work schedule
Responsibilities:
Manage projects, develop and expand TRC's engineering/environmental practice in New York
Mentor and develop junior engineering/geology staff facilitating work across technical disciplines
Undertake site walks and desk based environmental assessments
Manage a variety of environmental and geotechnical site investigations, all ranging in scope and budget
Manage junior staff in subcontractor oversight and ensure projects are completed per Client expectations and authorized scope of work
Manage projects outside the individual's expertise, including project involving other TRC subject matter experts and practices
Facilitate the procurement of qualified subcontractors in performing applicable project activities
Perform data assessment and report writing
Have excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
Work independently or in a project team with excellent problem solving, writing, and presenting skills
Work within a high-quality health and safety management system
Participate in Emergency Response Programs for Preferred Clients
Qualifications:
10-15 years of environmental consulting experience
3-5 years of demonstrated project management experience required
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science
Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) is preferred
Experience with NYSDEC Regulations and Programs Required
Project Management Experience on a variety of projects required
Compliance Experience (SPCC, SWPPP, PBS) preferred
Experience with railroads preferred
Travel required-20-40%
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen and motor vehicle records check
Valid Driver's license

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
