Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a highly experienced Manager, Field Engineering Services 1 at our Amherst, NY campus to lead a team of Field Service Representatives. What You'll Get to Do: The Functional Manager will be responsible for daily leadership and supervision of NON-Exempt/Exempt employees within the Product Support Department. A key component of this position will include interfacing with customer leadership, and technical personnel to support fielded system. Additionally managing day to day activities of Field Service Representatives. Roles & Responsibilities: Support onsite activities at various customer locations Manage Amherst-based lab FSRs, including customer calls, travel scheduling, hotline management, proposals, and programmatic support. Provide JTE support, participate in customer teleconferences, prepare Monthly Status & Data Management Reports, coordinate trips, and lead GOLD Work Orders and logistics for the JTE repair line. Lead and supervise a team of Field Service Representatives, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Interface with customer leadership and technical personnel to support fielded systems and ensure high customer satisfaction. Drive timely and clearly communicated decisions and recommendations to management and customers. Mentor and guide less experienced team members, fostering an inclusive environment that attracts, retains, and inspires a diverse and engaged team. Ensure compliance with company values, safety policies, and quality procedures.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. Possess the capability and readiness to travel up to 25% of the time, effectively supporting Program Management Reviews, engaging in customer onsite meetings, and demonstrating leadership as a technical expert on support trips worldwide. Must have advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and the ability to effectively communicate with various levels of leadership Must have a current active DOD Secret clearance to be considered
Preferred Qualifications: Extensive military training and experience in technical fields, with proven expertise as a Subject Matter Expert in one or more technical areas. Leadership and supervisory experience in government maintenance or operations/assembly environments, successfully managing multi-functional teams. Advanced knowledge and practical experience with Electronic Warfare systems, including CEESIM and JTE, and adept at troubleshooting complex Radar and Electronics Warfare Systems.
Familiarity with electronic work instructions, safety policies, and quality procedures, with a demonstrated ability to plan and execute preventative and corrective maintenance plans.
Salary Range: $95,000 - $142,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
