Acentra is looking for a Program Director to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

As a Program Management Director, you will be in a key leadership role for a sophisticated and complex state program. You will oversee a team, budget and processes and engage customer and matrix Acentra staff directly to ensure best of class projects are delivered on schedule and within budget. The Program Director works with the customers, functional and matrix managers, and staff to ensure that all Acentra Health projects are delivered on schedule and within budget, consistent with defined Acentra Health guidelines and processes and with client expectations.

This position is Hybrid/Remote based in Albany, NY and will require travel to work onsite as needed for client visits.

Job Responsibilities:

Direct, manage, plan, and develop methods and procedures for implementing a program and multiple software products concurrently.

Oversee and exercise independent judgment to solve complex and unusual technical, administrative, and managerial problems.

Drives strategic initiatives and contributes to organization growth and innovation

Maintain successful relationships with client and various stakeholders

Drive program activities and exercise control over personnel responsible for specific functions or phases of a program.

Confer with Project Managers and staff to explain program and individual responsibilities for functions and phases of a program.

Provide program management for team sizes that are typically more than 200 employees concurrently.

Provide program management on projects with annual total contract value more than $150M and complexity (hours) more than 700,000 hours.

Manage program risk, including pre-project preparations and day-to-day operational aspects of multiple projects ensuring project requirements, deliverables and timelines are adhered to. Execute project close activities accurately and on-time.

Determine estimated time and financial commitment of project, and monitors progress for multiple projects concurrently.

Partner with customers and analyze issues and problems from the customer perspective.

Collaborates with senior leadership to align program with business strategy

Leads and influences cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders

Develop detailed status reports for both project management team and customer

Lead transformation and change management initiatives pertaining to the Program/Project Management team and overall Acentra business strategy objectives, working closely with senior management.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business, science, mathematics or analytics. Master's Degree preferred.

15 years' experience in a project planning and delivery as related to role

10 years' experience in managerial and leadership role.

Medicare, Medicaid, or healthcare verticals domain knowledge with claims processing knowledge and experience.

Demonstrated abilities with Microsoft Project, SharePoint applications, MS Teams, Skype and knowledge of MS Project EV Metrics.

Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred

Proven track record to meet and enforce deadlines, conduct research into technology issues and products, and to take initiative in the development and completion of projects.

Demonstrated experience in leading and managing complex technical programs

Demonstrated successful people management and presentation skills.

Ability to exercise independent judgement in solving complex and unusual technical, administrative, and managerial problems

Ability to meet and enforce deadlines, to conduct research into technology issues and products, and to take initiative in the development and completion of projects

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and evaluate skills

Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $150,000/yr - $225,000/yr
