Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Job Summary In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers. Our Mission Capability Verification Center in White Sands, New Mexico is seeking interns with an interest in hands- on engineering work to support our team. The intern will join a team that is supporting an active radar system Integration and Test site on White Sands Missile Range. As part of the team, the intern will work with our local engineering leads to support our mission. At White Sands, we are hands-on, ensuring that our systems support the mission, and exceed our customers' expectations. We don't spend a lot of time sitting in an office, because every day is an adventure at the range! This position is an onsite role. This position can be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Post Graduate Technical Intern based on the candidate's qualifications and standing as outlined below: (Sophomore Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program and classified as a Sophomore by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment
(Junior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program and classified as a Junior by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment
(Senior Technical Intern)- must be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program and classified as a Senior by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment
(Post-Graduate Technical Intern) - must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship
What You Will Do: Activities include but are not limited to: Support installation and testing of engineering modifications and updates
Support integration and test activities to identify, diagnose, and correct issues
Support mission execution test events for our radars or missile flight tests, which could include travel to various sites on range
Qualifications You Must Have: This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor's (or higher) Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their Sophomore year by the start of summer 2025
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Academic or internship experience that included hands-on testing of electronic equipment
Qualifications We Prefer: Active Secret clearance
Prefer degree programs in Electrical Engineering that will culminate in either a BS or advanced degree
Prefer internship experience that included hands-on testing of electronic systems
Experience with the use of standard test equipment, such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and logic analyzers, in the support of troubleshooting
Exposure to analog/digital hardware design and power generation and/or commercial power systems

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
