Bancroft is currently seeking a per diem Adjunct Professor of Technology Integration to join our team!

This position is designed to identify and integrate innovative technologies to address workforce and clinical challenges in serving individuals with I/DD/Autism. It will position Bancroft as a leader in innovation and allow us to demonstrate that a humanoid robot programmed via artificial intelligence can intelligently adapt its behavior to provide customized support for individuals with IDD & Autism. This position will planfully deploy this robot in Bancroft programs and evaluate the outcomes of the project. Implementing a robot in a residential program requires understanding of clinical needs, programmatic needs, and environmental supports and barriers.

Responsibilities:

Assess environmental strengths and barriers related to the development, implementation, and effectiveness of innovative technologies

Lead program and clinical staff in project implementation

Identify and assist in writing grant proposals

Evaluate the outcome and effectiveness of the technology program

Connect Bancroft CCO and University partners in developing and coordinating research projects.

Observations of individuals in the program to observe patterns of engagement and participation. Observations of staff behavior will be used to inform the development of the robot's responses.

Literature reviews and other activities required for informing grant writing/publications

Data analysis

Designing, and implementing, sessions with the robot to advance development/deployment.
