The Development Manager serves as a partner to the CEO in cultivating existing and prospective individual donors with a focus on major gifts. ACTIVITIES Maintaining currently established relationships with donors, foundations, and businesses. Educating the New Jersey Business and Donor Community about the Organization's mission and funding requirements. Designing and developing an effective individual giving program. Network and cold prospecting high net worth individuals, foundations and businesses seeking major and planned gifts. Maintaining and improving donor tracking system and small dollars systems. Supporting digital and social media fundraising systems development. Contributing to development and production of promotional and solicitation materials. Organizing and overseeing participatory fundraising events. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Fundraising involving individual giving and events. Major gifts soliciting and cultivation. Practical knowledge of and track record applying accepted fundraising principles and best practices. Ability to INDEPENDENTLY arrange and conduct in-person meetings with prospective donors. ORGANIZATION: Collaborative environment where engaged employees share their knowledge and suggestions. Team is entrusted to use their own discretion and common sense.
