Job description

Position Title: Digital Integration Architect

Job Summary: We are seeking a Digital Integration Architect responsible for the integration of applications across the business. This role serves as a core member of the digital development and integration teams, orchestrating the development of FHIR integrations from multiple source systems. The position requires knowledge of frameworks including FHIR, Ignite API, JSON, Web or Restful API Development, and HL7.

Responsibilities include digital integration, innovation, development, ongoing support, and system maintenance with a strong creative, solution-oriented background. The Digital Integration Architect is responsible for design, system validation, implementation, and upgrade activities across solutions and venues of care with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with customers for workflow design, analysis, and recommendations for process improvement optimizing data flow and access.

Lead the integration of clinical applications with web and FHIR technologies.

Develop and support the integration of SMART on FHIR apps within applications.

Implement, configure, test, and validate FHIR integrations from multiple source systems.

Configure FHIR endpoints, invoke web services, handle data storage, and persist data into appropriate target systems.

Develop SQL data models from incoming FHIR payloads to support analytics and reporting needs.

Establish security and application access in compliance with HIPAA security and privacy regulations.

Assist with the evaluation of new systems or system changes, ensuring seamless data integration.

Maintain technical documentation for APIs and manage API versioning.

Provide 24x7 on-call support, troubleshoot, and resolve integration issues.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related specialty required. In lieu of an Associate's degree, 3-5 years' experience in a related specialty will be considered.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a specific service/clinical discipline, or equivalent preferred.

Proficient development experience building, testing, and troubleshooting integration with APIs, FHIR, JSON, and Web services.

Experience in managing IS-related projects required.

Knowledge & Skills:

Strong expertise in multiple healthcare applications.

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
