Description Background Information: Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), provider of automated software testing, data analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for complex, mission-critical systems in the US Department of Defense (DOD), is seeking an Agile Scrum Master to be based in our Arlington, VA or Mount Laurel, NJ office. Overview: The Agile Scrum Master will facilitate and coordinate Agile Scrum processes within our organization, ensuring the company can work collaboratively and efficiently to deliver high-quality solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with the product development team to ensure that the work progresses on schedule, within budget, and to the desired level of quality. Additionally, the Agile Scrum Master will serve as a coach and mentor to our team - helping to foster a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring that the team is meeting its objectives consistently. All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active U.S. Security Clearance. Responsibilities Include: Facilitate and coordinate Agile Scrum processes within the company. Guide and coach the team on Agile Scrum principles and practices. Ensure the team works collaboratively and efficiently to deliver high-quality products. Work with the Product Developer to prioritize the product backlog. Minimum Required Qualifications: Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or related field Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master Required Skills: Experience operating within the construct of DOD programs Familiarity with DOD Systems and/or Software Engineering processes Familiar with complex project planning and execution tracking Ability to travel up to 10% Preferred Skills: Experience managing US Navy, US Air Force, and/or MDA contracts Experience with DOD Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contracts or equivalent Working knowledge of DOD cybersecurity goals and techniques Strong organization and planning skills Ability to work closely with Customers, Senior/Principal Program Manager s and Chief Engineers Willingness to mentor and grow talent Be capable of working independently, but thrive in a team environment Competencies: Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum principles and practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies.
