Senior Associate Attorney (Full-time, Hybrid)

Our client, a well-established New Jersey practice, is seeking a seasoned Senior Associate Attorney with extensive experience in general litigation and a specialization in employment law. This role entails providing comprehensive legal counsel to the organization, managing intricate litigation cases, and ensuring adherence to employment regulations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills, along with a proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on various employment law issues, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and leave laws.

Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, severance agreements, and other employment-related documents.

Provide strategic legal advice to management on employment-related matters, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.

Represent the company in administrative proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings as needed.

Develop and implement employment policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

Stay current on employment law developments and provide regular updates to management.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.

Admission to the New Jersey Bar is required; admission to the New York Bar is preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in general litigation with a strong focus on employment law.

Demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating employment contracts and agreements.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Proficiency in legal research and writing.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with employment litigation in state and federal courts.

Knowledge of employment law regulations across multiple jurisdictions.

Compensation and Benefits:

Contract-to-permanent position.

Hybrid work arrangement (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
