Job description

Align ENT & Allergy is looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, playing a critical role in enhancing their experience in our practice. You will manage front desk operations, help create a welcoming atmosphere, and ensure seamless patient flow.

As a Medical Receptionist with Align ENT & Allergy, you will work within a dedicated team that provides comprehensive ENT and Allergy care. Our commitment to excellence and personalized patient care is at the core of everything we do.

Key Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring an inviting environment.

Handle check-in and check-out processes, ensuring that patient information is accurately recorded and updated.

Schedule patient appointments effectively, managing the flow of the day's schedule to maximize efficiency.

Answer incoming calls, addressing inquiries and providing assistance to patients and their families.

Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations ahead of appointments.

Assist patients with the completion of necessary paperwork and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.

Maintain organization and cleanliness of the reception area and waiting room.

Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and facilitate smooth communication.

Perform other clerical duties as needed, including data entry, filing, and faxing.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience as a receptionist, preferably in a medical setting.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ideally familiar with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

Empathetic and patient-centered approach to customer service.

Reliability and punctuality are crucial.

Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
