Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language

Bachelors Degree (may substitute 10 years work experience in an equivalent role in lieu of education requirement)

Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a leadership role in DME, Home Infusion or related health care field

Intermediate Level Knowledge or higher of Microsoft Office Applications and/or Google Suite equivalent

Licenses and Certifications Required:

Valid Driver's License from a USA state.

Master's Degree

Responsibilities:
Responsible for implementing and administering Home Infusion and DME program philosophy, goals and policies. Responsible for overseeing and enhancing the operational efficiency and effectiveness of Home Infusion & DME services. This role entails managing all aspects of service delivery, including staffing, quality assurance, compliance, and patient care coordination. The Director will collaborate with clinical teams, supply chain management, and external partners to ensure seamless operations and adherence to regulatory standards. Maintain responsibility for state-wide geography that coincides with Hackensack Meridian Health network.

Oversee daily operations of Respiratory Therapy, DME Customer Service, Revenue Cycle, Warehouse/Delivery, Quality Assurance & Inventory Management Departments.

Work with the Customer Service Supervisor and Intake Department to ensure that all pertinent demographic, financial and documentation is obtained when the referral is completed.

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, departmental policies and training programs for all departments within scope of responsibility.

Oversee Quality Assurance team to ensure the review of all orders delivered to Home Infusion & DME meet compliance with regulatory and insurance payor guidelines. Review monthly statistics provided by Quality Assurance Analyst to direct targeted staff education and performance improvement initiatives

Collaborate with Quality Assurance Analyst and Customer Service Supervisor to ensure that all missing medical documentation is received according to department guidelines. Assure that all claims on the hold report are less than 45 days old.

Collaborate with Respiratory Therapy Supervisor to ensure the delivery of Clinical Respiratory Services in accordance with regulatory and accreditation body standards and requirements. Ensure referrals for respiratory therapy equipment are delivered in a timely manner, and that all clinical documentation is completed within compliance with company policies. Oversees the PAP Compliance program in compliance with regulatory requirements. Ensures the optimization and growth of the PAP Supply Replenishment program.

Work with Billing Manager to ensure that all billing is performed and maintained by company policies and standards. Assure that billing for Home Infusion and DME is accurate and submitted to payor with all information required to bill on a daily basis. Assure that initial CMNs are completed within 30 days of start of care and recert CMNs are completed two weeks prior to recert date. Work with Managers of Clinical Practice to ensure that all physician orders are returned within 30 days.

Oversee the performance improvement program. Review audit results and aggregate and review data for adherence to minimum thresholds. Develop action plans in conjunction with management team to address findings below threshold.

Assure that all payor contract fee schedules are accurate and up to date in the EMR system monthly.

Oversee Billing Manager's preparation of all month-end reports and timely submission to Finance Department for review based on the month end close schedule. Interact with members of the Finance Department regarding discrepancies in reports and ensure adequate and timely resolution. Assure familiarity with all aspects of the Home Infusion and DME billing process. Act as backup to the Billing Manager for Home Infusion and DME billing as needed. Maintain A/R days at benchmarks. Assure receivables over 150 days are controlled. Ensure A/R goals are achieved.

Responsible for all aspects of payroll management for both DME & Home Infusion. Ensure department leaders complete payroll-related activities per the bi-weekly payroll schedule. Interact with system wide Payroll Managers & Finance Department as necessary to implement any changes or updates to the payroll system.

Ensure that initiatives are implemented and goals are met.

Effectively communicate with the team via regularly scheduled monthly & quarterly meetings and through written and verbal communication. Provide coaching and mentoring to all staff. Maintain open lines of communication with staff by encouraging feedback and suggestions.

Manage compliance with Human Resource policies, state and federal regulatory agencies, accreditation body and state survey standards.

Supervise the development of growth initiatives, which promote and monitor appropriate and cost quality service delivery.

Supervise the accounts payable system and reconciliation of vendor statements. Work with inventory analyst and other business leaders to ensure proper expense coding of all invoices. Assure that all vendor statements are reconciled monthly to ensure accounts remain in good-standing.

Assist in purchasing and processing procedures. Successfully identify areas in need of improvement and develop and implement changes.

Oversee sales initiatives fostering good working relationships with physicians, community agencies and Hackensack Meridian Health affiliates. Assure growth goals are met.

Assist in the recruitment, selection and retention of staff.

Complete other duties as assigned and demonstrate flexibility with job responsibilities in all areas.
