Job description

As the Senior Plastics Engineer, you will work to improve and develop new manufacturing equipment and processes on the production floor. You will work with customers to understand their requirements and make adjustments in order to meets their needs. By working strategically and effectively, you will minimize cost and deliver exceptional, high quality products to customers.

Description

Reporting directly into the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Installing, improving, and evaluating new and existing equipment and processes
  • Working closely with both internal and external customers
  • Managing projects and take ownership of projects
  • Using data analysis tools such as PowerBI to understand and improve existing processes
  • Establishing and implementing plans to support improvements across the production floor
  • Contributing to driving operational excellence and operational strategy

Profile

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline such as Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Plastics, etc.
  • 5-9 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
  • Background in plastics manufacturing
  • Lean Manufacturing and SixSigma
  • Experience using PowerBI
  • Experience in project management
  • Senior level experience and depth of knowledge
