Description:

The Director of Sales is pivotal in driving growth and achieving revenue targets. This role's primary focus is sales and building relationships. As a hands-on leader and doer, the director of sales will develop and execute effective sales strategies, foster a culture of collaboration and excellence within the organization, and provide outstanding client experience.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's business objectives, mission, and core values.
  • Develop and manage a sales pipeline, including qualifying inbound leads, scoping, proposing, contracting, and closing phases (annual target of $5 million in design and build sales).
  • Collaborate and partner with high-end architects and home builders to generate sales opportunities and build long-term relationships.
  • Manage and nurture prospective clients to build loyalty and the SLP brand.
  • Be an SLP brand advocate when attending association, community, and networking events, recognizing this role is a critical extension of the company and brand.
  • Support deploying a strategy to identify and develop new business opportunities and markets, expanding our client base.
  • Proactively stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to gain a competitive advantage.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage members of the sales team
  • Set clear goals, provide guidance, and empower sales team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, fostering trust and collaboration.
  • Analyze sales data, trends, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize sales performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine sales processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with design, construction, procurement, and other departments during and after the sales process to deliver a positive and seamless client experience.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in sales and management.
  • 10+ years of high-end residential landscape sales or design experience
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding revenue targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong understanding of relational sales strategies, tactics, and negotiation techniques.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Aspire software.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Valid NH Driver's License and an acceptable driving record
