Job description

Amentum is seeking a Senior Fleet Operations Specialist for the Las Vegas, NV area to be responsible for performing highly specialized Fleet Operations support functions for a large vehicle and equipment fleet. Essential Responsibilities: Provides comprehensive services and adheres to fleet operations work priorities, project schedules, quality standards and detailed work plans. Familiarity with Air Force Vehicle Maintenance operations requirements. Demonstrates experience in providing quality, responsive customer service. Assists in the development and application of a fleet analysis program to attain maximum longevity of program vehicles through the application of sound assignment, maintenance, and rotation techniques. Identifies employees involved in transportation-related hazardous materials operations and facilitates initial and recurrent hazmat training as required by 49CFR and the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) technical instructions. Monitors the status of fleet vehicle safety recalls through research at the applicable manufacturer website and work with local dealerships to accomplish them expeditiously and efficiently. Perform, at a minimum, an annual review of RSSII SEC.PLN.18099.0001 (Security and Communications Plan for the Transportation and Storage of Hazardous Material) to ensure ongoing compliance with the requirements of 49CFR, Part 172, Subpart 1. Gather and provide fleet recall data for inclusion in the monthly submittal of CDRL 002. Coordinate with internal and external customers to complete vehicle recall, warranty, and contract work. Establish and maintain rapport with local vendors to ensure timely, cost efficient, and complete work. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested. Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree in business, logistics or another related field preferred. Eight or more years of experience in logistics management, transportation management, or related career field. Knowledge of DPAS and OLVIMS data systems and its inputs and outputs required. Experience working with state compliance programs for vehicle license plates and registration is preferred. Experience working with government vehicles and regulations is preferred. Possess organization skills to balance and prioritize work. Possess personal computer and business solutions software skills. Must have working knowledge, understanding, and skills using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Position requires the ability to qualify for and maintain a government Secret Security Clearance. Possess a valid state issued driver's license. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain US Government security clearance. Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands: Work is performed in an office or Shop environment. Role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills to gather information from personnel, communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. No unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 25 pounds, kneeling, standing and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing/eyesight abilities for communications.
