Job description
As the Senior Director - Global Shared Services, this senior finance role has responsibility for the delivery of accurate, timely, and effective global finance services for credit/collections & billing, payroll, and accounts payable (collectively "Shared Services") and is responsible to drive the future strategy for Shared Services.
This role is a key member of the Global Finance Services Leadership team whose vision is to provide superior service experiences to our customers and employees to support scalable business growth. This role will require international travel.
People Leadership
- As a people leader of a large global team, you will drive a high-performance culture where quality output matters. You will lead innovative projects to lead people engagement across the team, as well as continual team improvements
- This role will have 4 core direct reports (Regional Directors of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll) and a global team of approximately 50 people, split mostly between Sydney, Las Vegas, and India. This role will be responsible for the development and support of the global leaders in their fields
- Performance management responsibilities for the team
- Senior leader responsibilities to deliver employee initiatives across the finance team (e.g. development opportunities)
Shared Services Operations
- Accountable for the delivery of global financial services operational teams of Credit / Collections & Billing, Accounts Payable, and Payroll, supported by Global Directors of each function
- Transformation of the function from being a functional expert to a transformation enabler and a strategic partner of the business.
- Driving standardised, scalable, and sustainable processes and technologies in the team, enabling higher levels of scalability and efficiency.
- Driving continuous improvements including prioritisation of initiatives, including technology-led improvements and projects
- Ensuring robust internal controls are consistently applied
- Measuring, monitoring, and reporting service levels to stakeholders
Innovation
- Building a rolling 1-3 year roadmap for the global financial services operations, focused on the integration of new businesses, standardisation, new technologies, and innovation, including business case development for project initiatives which will define scope, resourcing, and budget
- Key role in supporting finance process automation, partnering with the Finance Transformation and Robotics team.
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement across the team
- Prioritisation of IT enhancements and approving changes
Business partnering
- This role is a key connector of multiple senior stakeholders and it is expected that this role will proactively seek input, act on feedback, and drive value to the business. Understanding and adaptability to needs is critical.
- Advises stakeholders on issues and helps develop solutions to challenges
Budgets and cash flow management
- Responsible for meeting the budget for Shared Services Operations
- Provide inputs and provide execution support for cash flow management initiatives relating to collections and payments
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 12+ years of experience in a finance function, preferably with experience in financial and accounting close in a global, dynamic shared services arrangement
- Experience in driving strategic change in a function, enabling it to be a transformation enabler and strategic partner
- Strong global people leader - experience in building and developing teams
- Robust understanding of end-to-end processes and controls with a continuous improvement mindset
- Excellent communicator who can present, write, and influence all levels of staff and management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Adaptable to changing priorities
- Ability to work under pressure and yet stay calm during challenges

Travel Expectations Up to 25% Pay Range $198,380 - $368,420 per yearOur goal is to pay a market competitive salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education, skills, work location, and internal pay equity.
