Job description
Location: Nellis AFB, Las Vegas, NV Title: Client Support Administrator Type: Full-time C2C Rate: $24 Responsibilities: Monitor ongoing operation of network systems to ensure hardware and software are functioning properly and operational standards are met. Sets-up and maintains user permissions and accounts; installs required software on client desktop. Processes user access requests and account provisioning for 99 CES customers and facility managers installation wide. Maintains AIS servers; creates, maintains, and assists users with development of reports and queries. Utilizes established computer techniques to identify and promptly resolve network-related problems within the organization. Troubleshoot various computer and network related issues in coordination with the base Communications Squadron and other entities, as required. Installs and troubleshoots software on servers, desktops, and laptops to include Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and government developed applications/systems. Identifies and refers corrective action to be taken for individual job failures not covered by standard procedures. Ensures user network and email accounts are established and inactivated as personnel in/out process the organization. Acts as Functional Systems Administrator (FSA) and Client Support Administrator (CSA) to process all network (NIPRNET, SIPRNET) and customer AIS support functions with technical support from the installation Communications Squadron/ Network Control Center (NCC) directives. Attends all installation Communications Squadron FSA/CSA meetings and completes training as required. Manages life cycle of computer systems and software for 99 CES. Provides ongoing technical support to customers to ensure proper functional use of equipment and programs and to preclude undue interruptions to Information Technology (IT) services. Works with customers to ensure efficient operations which support business requirements. Assists in solving problems associated with delivery of hardware and software orders. Provides management with information necessary to address difficult and moderately complex problems in automating work processes. Incorporates life-cycle management principles to track life of system equipment, prepares and provides analyses to determine future maintenance and replacement costs to help justify budget submissions. Works with customers to resolve issues associated with a variety of different system problems. As commander appointed, Automated Data Processing (ADPE) Equipment Custodians (EC), provides IT hardware asset management and base level Communications Squadron Equipment Control Officer (ECO) directives. Conducts annual inventory and provides results to the COR for approval at the end of calendar year. Maintains COTS software license inventory within prescribed guidelines and stores evidence of all licenses in a secure location. Audits all COTS software on servers and desktop computers annually to ensure there are no illegal or unauthorized copies installed. Assists with the 99 CES information systems security program. Assists the CES Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), plan and implement Computer Security (COMPUSEC) compliance within the prescribed Wing, Air Force (AF) and Department of Defense (DoD) IT security standards, directives, and policies. Manages the Information Assurance Awareness Program (IAAP) and ensure all personnel complete required annual training. Performs scans of desktop computers and reports incidents as required; ensures virus protection and security patches are properly installed. Ensures Time Compliance Network Orders (TCNO) are implemented within the required timeframe and complies with the vulnerability and incident reporting procedures. Works with the base Communication Squadron Information Assurance (IA) office to determine if any IT equipment, systems, or facilities have Emissions Security (EMSEC) requirements IAW applicable AF and DoD directives and provides recommendations as appropriate to assigned personnel within the Computer Operation Section (99 CES/CEIAI). Prepares EMSEC countermeasures and/or processes EMSEC waivers as requested and notifies the Computer Operations Section and Chief of Asset Accountability who in turn will notify the base Communications Squadron IA office on completion. Establish continuity books for training purpose. Develop, manage, and sustain a 99 CES squadron-wide Share Point (or similar Govt. information system as determined by the Govt.) to enable consolidation of existing Share Point sites in the squadron and create/develop new Share Point modules as determined by 99 CES. Works with site owners and flight points of contact within 99 CES to create an overarching site, consolidate existing, and build new modules as determined needed by 99 CES. The CSA will create, assign, and maintain user profiles and permissions as required on those sites needing limited access.
