We are currently looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join our ResortCom family! This is an in office position, but trust us our company culture makes it worth your while!

Position Summary

ResortCom is an elite servicing company delivering unparalleled solutions to the hospitality, travel, and vacation ownership industries. By leveraging the ResortCom application suite, we provide merchant, client, and member services to our 100,000 vacation owners. The Business Systems Analyst reports to the Director of Enterprise Applications and is the key liaison between the company's business units and the IT department, ensuring that the technological solutions implemented align with business strategies and provide optimal efficiency. The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for developing requirements, prioritizing tasks, and presenting viable business solutions.

The Business Systems Analyst ensures alignment between technical and non-technical stakeholders and translates business requirements into functional specifications. The individual collaborates with stakeholders to implement timely changes that drive continuous improvement in business processes and system capabilities. The Business Systems Analyst also functions as part of the development team, collaborating with developers, infrastructure, and support to assist in problem resolution, service design, and service transition.

The Business Systems Analyst will have opportunities to participate in end-to-end application implementations, internal training, cloud migration, etc. The Business Analyst will be part of a great working atmosphere, performing complex work in a collaborative team of amazing people, with forward-thinking managers. Primary Responsibilities and Functions:

Develop business requirements with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Convert business requirements into stories for development.
Collaborate with process owners and software engineers through development, quality assurance, documentation, and deployment phases to release enhancements to enterprise application functionality.
Participate in daily scrum meetings, document new problems, advise development on business use, and help prioritize and groom backlog.
Perform complex research from a variety of sources (which may include operational data, metrics, competitor information, and feedback from business partners) to resolve outstanding technical concerns and advise on best practices for business and system procedures.
Continually improve enterprise application knowledge using company-provided resources, including knowledge base, software documentation, and internal training.
Promote and adhere to the continued integration of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices and enterprise software development processes.
Partner with Infrastructure, Application Support, and Development teams to proactively resolve problems and deploy service changes.

Work Environment The work for this position is conducted in an office environment. The noise level in this environment is usually moderate. Travel will be required to receive training, attend meetings, and develop relationships with other professionals. Evening and weekend work may be required based upon the workload.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience

Associate's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
Five years of experience providing support for business applications
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong sense of ownership and ability to follow tasks through to completion
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to effectively resolve problems
Strong presentation skills, including the ability to create organized reports
Skilled in problem diagnosis and resolution
Skilled in analytical and critical thinking
Skillful understanding of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and the Windows environment
Adept in the use of help desk ticketing systems
Experience with SDLC and software testing
Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies
Experience with Jira, CRM solutions, accounting systems, and reservation systems
Superior ability to communicate effectively with employees, clients, vendors, and IT staff
One or more applicable technology certifications:
Microsoft Certifications
Help Desk Certifications
DevOps Certifications
ITIL v3 Foundation (or above)

Preferred Education, Skills, and Experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience in the hospitality industry, preferably vacation ownership
Additional technology certifications, including:
