Job Title: Physician Assistant (PA) - Occupational Medicine

Job Summary: We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Occupational Medicine team. The PA will be responsible for managing and treating work-related injuries and illnesses, performing pre-employment and routine health assessments, and collaborating with employers and employees to promote a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care: Perform thorough evaluations of work-related injuries and illnesses, provide treatment, and manage ongoing care plans.
Workplace Assessments: Conduct pre-employment physical exams, fitness-for-duty evaluations, and periodic health screenings.
Injury Management: Diagnose and treat acute and chronic injuries, including musculoskeletal disorders, and coordinate referrals to specialists as needed.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other relevant workplace health and safety standards.
Patient Education: Educate employees on injury prevention, ergonomics, and wellness programs to enhance workplace safety and health.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records, including patient histories, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
Collaboration: Work closely with employers, insurance providers, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate optimal care and return-to-work plans.
Program Development: Assist in developing and implementing workplace health programs and initiatives to promote overall employee wellness.

Qualifications:
Education: Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
Certification: Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and state licensure.
Experience: Experience in occupational medicine or a related field preferred; however, candidates with relevant clinical experience are also encouraged to apply.
Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse patient population.
Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
