Job description

Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is currently hiring for a Plant Superintendent at our new Degumming facility in David City, NE. This person reports to and is under the general direction of the Plant Operations Manager and will travel to other AGP plants to train while the new plant is under construction.

Responsibilities :

  • Maintain operation of the plant through inspection, trouble shooting, coordinating shut down and communication with pertinent staff.
  • Monitor and maintain production and production quality.
  • Inspect and ensure efficient equipment operations.
  • T rain and supervise employees through scheduling work, checking quality of work, conducting performance appraisals, and handling disciplinary matters.
  • Develop and manage projects
  • Attend company meetings, enforce company policies & procedures

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience or equivalent
  • Knowledge and/or experience in processing refined oils preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations as they apply to plant operations.
  • Solid experience with using supervisory techniques to accomplish instruction, training, and motivation employees.
  • Problem solver with analytical thinking and strong organizational skills.
  • Able to operate equipment including industrial machinery and hand and power tools in addition to various office equipment including computer and printer.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Word and Excel and experience with AutoCAD.
  • Ability to effectively function as a team player and with diverse individuals and groups.
  • Ability to remain flexible and responsive when faced with multiple urgent requests.
  • Demonstrated courteous, professional communication skills.
