Job description

The Garrett Group is seeking an Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) with prior experience at the USSTRATCOM Joint Force Air Component Command (JFACC). This position requires a thorough understanding of joint exercises, wargames, and operational expertise to effectively contribute to the planning, execution, and analysis of joint exercises and wargames. The Operations SME will play a critical role in ensuring successful coordination, management, and execution of these events. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide on-site support and assistance to plan, develop, execute, and analyze joint exercises and wargames. Assist in the development, coordination, and management of the plan of action and milestones (POA&M) for each joint exercise or wargame event, tracking key actions and deliverable dates throughout the event's life cycle. Assist with the planning, coordination, and support for conferences and milestone events related to joint exercises or wargames, such as Concept Development Conference (CDC), Initial Planning Conference (IPC), Mid-Planning Conference (MPC), Final Planning Conference (FPC), and Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) Synchronization Conference (SYNCH). Chair planning work groups as determined by the joint exercise or wargame lead planner and Branch Chief. Required Experience: Must have a deep understanding and be able to speak authoritatively on all aspects of weapons systems operations, including mission planning, generation procedures, deployment procedures, weapons system employment tactics, and publishing daily operations orders. Minimum of 7 years of experience with Joint doctrine and planning processes, including end-to-end operations and processes from National-level decision making through Unit-level execution.
