Job description

The Director of Facilities for Luxury Residences is responsible for overseeing the daily performance of the Facilities team, managing weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance work. This role requires close collaboration with the management team to ensure an exceptional resident experience. The Director of Facilities will assess building components/apartments, draft capital budgets, and annual operating budgets, review proposals from contractors/sub-contractors, manage purchases, and approve all billing related to maintenance and construction.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Facilities Manager, preferably in luxury residences or high-end properties.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and construction procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with management, residents, vendors, and team members.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Facilities Management Systems, budgeting, and purchasing.
  • General Contractor Certification desired.
  • Experience working as a Facilities Manager, ensuring smooth operations of high-end properties.

Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the daily performance of the Facilities team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently.
  • As the Facilities Manager, manage regular maintenance work and oversee various projects to maintain property standards.
  • Work closely with the management team to enhance the resident experience, ensuring that the Facilities Manager's efforts align with overall property goals.
  • Assess building components/apartments and create capital budgets, ensuring the Facilities Manager's oversight contributes to financial planning.
  • Review proposals from contractors/sub-contractors, oversee purchases, and ensure all activities related to maintenance and construction are properly managed by the Facilities Manager.
  • Conduct performance reviews of staff members, providing feedback and support to ensure the Facilities team operates at peak efficiency.
  • Ensure effective communication with management, residents, and team members, representing the Facilities Manager's role in maintaining high standards of service and upkeep.
