Job Type Full-time Description Clearance: Secret Must be a US Citizen Contingent on contract award. Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) is seeking an Exploitation Specialist/Photogrammetrist - Junior to join the Team! Provide the Geodetic Surveys Division (SFNS) with photogrammetry support, to include experience in Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) processing and analysis or the generation of point clouds from Electro-Optical (EO) imagery, and the co-registration of multi-source datasets. Supporting National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) providing Geospatial Intelligence for our nation's security by ensuring customer success through accelerate the analytical adoption of Analytic Workflow Modernization (AWM), mathematical and statistical modeling, structured analysis techniques, sound appropriate scientific methods, Activity Based Intelligence (ABI), Structured Observation Management (SOM), and Object Based Production (OBP) within the analytical workforce. Supporting advanced analytic modeling as well as modeling for tipping and queuing collection of focus areas in support of the client as well as help analysts develop strategies for data-centric research methods and automate existing workflows through modeling and scripting. Specific Responsibilities Assist in producing multi-source remote reconnaissance packages for geodetic survey missions leveraging existing data and services for planned and ad hoc survey missions based on planned and ad hoc yearly requirements under the direction of the senior-level photogrammetric lead.
Assist in producing a remote reconnaissance package consistent with relevant SOPs and standards documents as created or designated by senior-level photogrammetric lead with assistance, as needed.
Complete packages a minimum of two (2) weeks prior to deployment, unless first notification of the mission falls within that two (2) week timeframe.
Coordinate with SFNS Requirements Manager, Mission Managers, and Team Leads to ensure accessibility of the package and address any questions about content or usage.
Solicit post-deployment feedback on package usability with the Geodetic Surveys Requirements Manager, Mission Manager, Tech Team, and Team Leads, and work with the senior-level photogrammetric lead to refine the process as needed.
Provide input to senior-level photogrammetric revisions of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), geodetic standards, and other documentation related to the package generation process.
Inform SFNS Requirements Manager, Mission Managers, and senior-level photogrammetric lead on status and completions.
Identify potential data sources or optimization methods for the package generation process.
Assist in identifying data accessibility issues from geographically separated branches, and by teams in the field
Requirements Basic knowledge of photogrammetry, LiDAR processing and analysis, and EO point cloud generation.
1-3 years' experience processing and analyzing LiDAR data or EO point clouds, and documenting precision and error in accordance with existing data standards.
Basic experience co-registering multiple data sets to the WGS 84 reference frame and perform statistical analysis to determine the absolute and relative error.
Basic experience using QT Modeler, Socet Set, or similar elevation or point cloud processing and analysis software.
Basic experience using ESRI ArcGISPro.
Knowledge of digital data formats such as vector data, raster data or shape files.
Good oral and written communication skills.Desired Qualifications STEM Degree.
Geodetic surveying or land surveying experience or coursework.
Knowledge of geodetic or statistical principles.
Knowledge of standard NGA products.
Familiarity with NGA systems architecture, including unclassified cloud environments.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment Normal Office environment
Travel CONUS travel, one-week long trips per year, may be required to geographically separated branch locations up to four (4) times per year.
