Position Schedule: Full-Time

The Finance Division of Edward Jones is seeking a highly motivated accounting and finance professional with the potential and desire for continued career growth to be a part of the Expenditure Management team. The mission of the Edward Jones Expenditure Management Department is "to lead the development, governance and execution of the planning, controls, processing, payment and reporting of expenses.

The Expenditure Management Accountant I-Accounts Payablerole is an opportunity for a result minded individual to support the firm's payables function by ensuring timely, accurate and compliant payment of our firm expenditures. We have a small, close-knit team that works collaboratively to meet the variable volume and demands of our deadline driven work. We have built and maintained trusted relationships with key stakeholders throughout the firm to deliver superior results.

What you'll do

• Ensuring invoices and supporting documentation are accurate and processed timely.
• Review and prepare submitted payment requests for accuracy and ensure all payments are in accordance with firm policies and procedures.
• Build and maintain business relationships within and outside of the firm to assist in obtaining necessary documents needed to process invoices, payments, and/or regulatory filings.
• Adding/Updating supplier account information, when necessary, to ensure payments are made appropriately.
• Maintaining organized Accounts Payable (AP) SOPs and documentation.
• Assist in documenting, identifying, monitoring, and proactively improving business processes, systems, and controls related to area of responsibility.

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:

Hiring Minimum: $45260
Hiring Maximum: $74635

Skills/Requirements

This role is opened as a hybrid or onsite opportunity. Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred, with emphasis in Accounting or Finance.
• 1+ years of professional work experience preferred, in accounting, finance or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or demonstrated ability to learn is required.

What will set you apart

• Prior experience with PeopleSoft Financials, is a plus.
• Experience with P2P systems (Coupa) is a plus.
• Ability to recognize and communicate issues and proposed solutions to leadership.
• Ability to coordinate and partner with others to accomplish work and meet deadlines.
