Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manages warehouse inventory and maintains database.
  • Maintains warehouse and property organization and appearance.
  • Participates in performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Coordinates and schedules the movement of products throughout the warehouse including storage and shipment of finished products.
  • Implements daily production and shipping plan, arranging for excess stock to be stored in warehouse.
  • Confirms availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.
  • Manually handles, repacks, or restacks pallets of product as needed.
  • Operates forklift truck as needed.
  • Utilizes company truck to make deliveries to job sites.
  • Safely loads and delivers materials and equipment on company trailers, to job sites.
  • Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports.
  • Performs other related duties as directed.
  • Follows and enforces all safety policies.
  • Attends all scheduled safety meetings, reads and signs toolbox talks, and remains current with all safety requirements.
  • Provides responsive, efficient, and complete internal customer service to the jobsite Foremen, and all P1 personnel. Makes every attempt to deliver the service needed and/or requested. Pulls orders and stages them for delivery.
  • Inspects and signs for the incoming freight from vendors, UPS, or Fed-Ex. Makes copies of the Packing List to secure to the freight for easy identification in the warehouse
  • Manages the paperwork for incoming freight, from vendors, UPS or Fed-Ex.
  • Takes tool request orders via verbal, phone, fax, or e-mail. Clarifies, when needed, to assure tools sent to site are what was ordered by the foreman.
  • Pulls tools from tool cage and assembles for delivery per the schedule date and time committed to by the scheduler dispatcher. Procures tools that are not in stock using the tool manager for support and approval.
  • Receives tools from the field. Processes back into the tool crib after confirming the operational status of each tool. Tools of questionable condition are tagged and sidelined for repair.
  • Works with Fleet Manager, and local Management Team to maintain Fleet Vehicles.

Required Education and Experience

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Valid state motor vehicle operator's license for forklift truck (company provided) required.
  3. At least five years of work experience in a warehouse required.
  4. Ability to move around the warehouse.

Preferred Education and Experience
  1. Two years of warehouse management experience.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  4. Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
  5. General Plumbing and Mechanical knowledge is preferred, but not required.
  6. Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
  7. Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.
  8. DOT Class A Certification is preferred.
