POSITION TITLE: Estimator, Wireline
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
POSITION OVERVIEW:

ADB is seeking an Estimator who has extensive knowledge of underground utility estimating practices. This role will provide Estimating support to various OSP project divisions Nationwide. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, has proven OSP field construction experience, is a master relationship builder, with an ALL IN attitude to achieve results.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Can read and understand construction drawings, engineering designs, and blueprints to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for various OSP utility construction projects
Prepares estimates for use in subcontractor and vendor selection processes
Participates in bid strategy meetings, presents findings upon request
Collects historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future projects
Collaborates with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders companywide to discuss, formulate, and update estimates
Utilizes excel to prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work
Has full understanding of underground construction operations including equipment used, labor skills, safe digging operations, OSHA requirements, etc.
Adhere to and uphold ADB's safety culture on site, led by example and develop the expected safety culture on each project Communicates regularly with support staff on outcomes of future project requirements that would impact payroll, HR, Fleet, etc.
Ability to support a fast paced, demanding work schedule; schedule could include early mornings, evenings, weekends, etc.
Performs other tasks as assigned by leadership

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, like sitting, squatting, standing, walking and driving.
Must endure regular exposure to all weather conditions, especially hot, humid and/or rainy spring, summer and fall weather, combined with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated.
Must wear common protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses, hard hat, steel toed boots, safety vests, etc.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
2+ years' experience in estimating OSP utility construction projects within the telecommunications industry required
Prior OSP field experience preferred
Valid Driver License required
High School Diploma or equivalent required
