This position requires an active DoD Clearance (Secret) Because an active or interim DoD clearance is required, U.S. Citizenship is required Sr. Network Operations Engineer Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and expereinced Network Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability and efficiency of our network infrastructure. If you have a passion for advanced troubleshooting and a deep understanding of Cisco technologies, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities:
- Network Monitoring & Management: Oversee and monitor network operations, ensuring rapid response to alerts and events.
- Incident Resolution: Lead the resolution of network incidents, ensuring timely and effective escalation and communication.
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Coordinate and direct remote activities for infrastructure repairs to maintain seamless service delivery.
- Performance Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis to address performance issues and incident correlations.
- Data Center Support: Provide support for data center operations as required.
- Shift Supervision: Manage daily shift activities, document in reporting and ticketing tools, and ensure continuity for unresolved issues.
- Government Liaison: Communicate incident notifications to Government representatives. Required Skills:
- IP Networking: Strong expertise in IP networking, routing, and switching.
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Proficient in diagnosing and resolving complex network issues.
- Cisco Expertise: Extensive experience with Cisco routers and switches. Preferred Skills:
- BGP & EIGRP: Knowledge of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP).
- DevOps: Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
- NAT: Experience with Network Address Translation (NAT). Certifications (Must Have at Least Two):
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Routing and Switching
- Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP)
- Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Additional Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance: Required for this position.
- Certifications: Must possess one of the following certifications: CCNP, CCDP, Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), MCSA, or MCTS.
