Role: Lead AWS DevOps Cloud Engineer



Location: Kansas City, MO



Duration: 12+ months

In this role, you will:




  • Standardize enterprise level engineering processes to create industry leading engineering artifacts

  • Engineer and deliver iterative features of a cloud enterprise data platform

  • Lead development of CI/CD pipeline

  • Design based on operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization

  • Management and refinement of cloud services in development, test, and production environments

  • Drive innovation and expand cloud platform experience by testing out the latest cloud capabilities with proof-of-concepts and pilot applications



Qualifications:




  • Bachelor s degree or higher in Computer Science or engineering, or equivalent relevant work experience

  • 8+ years experience in IT industry with a highly technical and analytical role

  • 5+ years in full-stack development with expertise in Python

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud including: expertise in designing, building and automating highly reliable and scalable enterprise cloud solutions that use AWS services including Lambda, S3, CFT, CLI, Redshift, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, VPC Peering, Lake Formation, Glue, Athena, EMR

  • 3+ years of DevOps development experience covering SCM (Git), build/deploy (Jenkins), configuration management (Ansible) linting (unit testing, SonarQube), distributed and container systems (EMR, OCP, Lambda), Logging (EFK)

  • 3+ years of working with data intensive products including object stores (S3), RDBMS, NOSQL, or other relevant patterns

  • Working experience in implementing process orchestration via event or messaging systems such as Kafka, AWS SQS, or other relevant tools

  • In-depth understanding of IT patterns for infrastructure, security, architecture, and software

  • Ability to work in high pressure, agile environment with both tactical and strategic deliveries

  • AWS Associate or Professional level certification is preferred.
