Job Posting: Electronics Test Tech

Location: Kansas City, MO
Position: Electronics Technician
Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 10-hour shifts (5:00am to 3:30pm)
Pay: $24/hour goes to $28 hr once perm.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to join our team in Kansas City, MO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronics to ensure product quality and reliability. This position requires a strong understanding of analog and digital circuits, excellent soldering skills, and proficiency with diagnostic tools.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic equipment to the component level.

• Perform tests at both unit and PCB level using appropriate test equipment.

• Interpret schematics, drawings, and engineering specifications.

• Conduct modifications on electronic assemblies as needed.

• Complete electronic forms accurately and efficiently.

• Work independently with minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree or Certificate in Electronics Technology from a two-year college or equivalent experience.

• Proficiency in analog and digital circuit troubleshooting.

• Demonstrated ability to use diagnostic equipment such as Digital Volt Meters, Frequency Counters, and Spectrum Analyzers.

• Strong soldering skills in through hole and/or surface mount technologies.

• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.

Additional Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and procedures.

• Effective technical writing skills for internal and external communications.

• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with engineers, customers, and colleagues.

• Logical problem-solving abilities with a methodical approach.

• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to quality standards.

Required Tests: Candidates must pass a soldering test and electronics test during an onsite tour, which typically takes 1 hour to complete.

Pay Details: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour
