Job description
Duties Serves as the subject matter expert on Individual Medical Readiness (IMR). Collects, inputs, and manages medical readiness information for the Battalion/Squadron and subordinate units. Generates medical management information reports for the Battalion/Squadron and staff. Monitors the execution of all medical readiness events (military and civilian) to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations and that required documentation was submitted to facilitate payment. Maintains records and analyzes data from the medical occupational data system (MODS). Collects data and/or information used in the evaluation of individual medical readiness as a member of the command readiness inspection team. Consolidates medical data for the preparation of the organizational readiness report. Monitors and tracks the status of mobilized personnel with pending medical actions. Assists in processing, documenting, storing, and retrieving medical records information IAW laws and regulations. Prepares, reviews, schedules, monitors, and submits line of duty investigations and packets for required medical review and/or action. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Creditable Service for Annual Leave accrual may be granted to new employees if he/she possesses superior qualifications essential to the position; and which were acquired through performance in a non-federal or active duty uniformed service position. The duties performed in a non-federal or active duty uniformed service position must directly relate to the position to which appointed and such qualifications are necessary to achieve an important agency mission or performance goal to be eligible. Indefinite employment can be terminated with a 30 day notice. NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Missouri National Guard prior to the effective date of placement. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement. Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Failure to complete management prescribed courses for full-time support personnel within the first year of employment or assignment, may be cause for reassignment or termination. Advanced in hire rate may be granted to set pay above the minimum rate of the grade for a new employee if he/she possesses superior qualifications relevant to the positions' requirements and is essential to accomplish the agency's mission. Management has the right to convert this position to permanent status without re-advertising. In the event a permanent (Tenure 1 or 2) employee is selected, and is willing to accept the indefinite appointment, that employee will relinquish permanent status. Qualifications MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Title 32 National Guard employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion). GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Must possess experience, education or training which provided a basic knowledge of principles and practices related to the health care delivery system. GS-07 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Must possess 12 months experience, education, or training which provided a working knowledge of missions, organizations, programs and requirements of health care delivery systems. Experience involved in performing or assisting with a varied range of health or bioenvironmental activities. Experience interpreting various policies and procedures used in the state medical programs. This is an open continuous announcement. Applicants will be reviewed monthly.
