Job description
Duties Formulate information source search strategies, reviewing data to identify patterns and relationships across financial, criminal, public record, and other information. Consolidate and evaluate incoming suspicious activity, threat, and criminal intelligence data and information, ensuring any necessary follow-up actions have been initiated. Extract and organize statistical data for command feedback. Oversee suspicious activity, threat, and criminal intelligence collection within the area of responsibility; provides advice and counsel to individuals responsible for each program and works to prepare reports, statistical data, etc. Perform site visits for the purpose of providing assistance to criminal intelligence programs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Must sign DA Form 5019-R and must pass urinalysis testing as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter. Position subject to random drug testing IAW AR 600-85. MOBILITY AGREEMENT: Must agree, in writing, to comply with management directed permanent change of station (PCS) movement and/or deployment to support overseas contingency operations in order to meet mission requirements. This position may require working irregular shifts. This position requires TDY travel up to 25% of the time. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's degree from an accredited university, or have at least 2 years of study leading to such degree related to the position, that would otherwise substitute for specialized experience. (If you select this choice, you MUST provide a copy of your official transcripts with your application to receive credit.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. GS-11 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing a variety of criminal and threat intelligence sources and extracting pertinent data for database retention and dissemination. D or equivalent Doctoral degree from an accredited university, or have at least 3 years of study leading to such degree related to the position, that would otherwise substitute for specialized experience. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
