Job description

Our client is seeking a Full-Time Environmental Technician to support US based LNG export facility and service the global demand for North American natural gas. This Louisiana-based position will support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Environmental Department in ensuring compliance with various environmental management programs through inspections, audits, and other methods. This includes but is not limited to multimedia monitoring and sampling (air, water, waste), stormwater inspections, waste management oversight, preparing waste containers for transport, conducting routine RCRA area and tank/container inspections, and responding to minor spills and leaks.
  • Provide field support to Environmental Specialists and Supervisors.
  • Deliver environmental training to personnel.
  • Ensure that operational procedures align with environmental performance goals and are properly implemented.
  • Act as a resource for environmental plans, policies, and procedures within the facility.
  • Serve as an on-call contact and responder for environmental issues.
  • Assist in setting and achieving environmental goals for the area or plant.
  • Ensure timely completion of environmental compliance tasks.
  • Conduct environmental monitoring, data collection, and analysis for the facility.

Required Qualifications:
  • Education and Certifications: A minimum of an associate's degree in a science-related field and/or 4 years of relevant military training OR a high school diploma with five years of relevant experience.
  • Possession of a valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to work a 7/7 rotating schedule.
  • Ability to pass background screening to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card (similar to TSA pre-check).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in hot and humid outdoor environments and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficiency with computers, including Apple Mac and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint).
