Gastroenterologist Hospitalist Locums Job in Northern Mississippi Highly Favored Opportunity Starting in January Jackson + Coker is partnered with a facility in northern Mississippi that needs GI locum tenens support starting this January. This opportunity is a 'fan favorite,' among locum physicians. Look forward to a structured schedule, consistent work load, and a strong medical staff team to work alongside of while getting paid premium rates. Coverage Details: - Monday through Friday, GI Hospitalist coverage (7A - 4P or 8A - 5P each weekday) + weeknight 5P-8A & weekend call Facility is willing to piece this opportunity together with multiple GIs if needed. 2025 Dates of Coverage: January 1 at 7A 13 at 7A February 2 at 7A 10 at 7A February 24 at 7A March 10 at 7A March 24 at 7A April 7 A at 7A April 21 at 7A 25 at 7A May 29 at 7A June 16 at 7A Details/Requirements Assignment : Mississippi medical license required (open to reviewing candidates that have an active LOQ through the IMLC too) Current Board Certification required ERCP is preferred, not required Monday-Friday from 8A-5P covering inpatient services (majority of time will be spent doing GI procedures on inpatients and seeing new consults) + night and weekend call coverage Weekend call would require rounding on any patient necessary + seeing new consults (doing procedures as needed) Volume: current physician is averaging 60 colonoscopies + EGDs (combined) per week + 5-10 new GI consults each day Big portion of new consults come in over the night/early mornings but facility doesn't require anything emergent/in most cases the consults are handled the next day »
