As the Tool Room Manager you will manage and optimize the company's tool assets. You will be involvedin overseeing and directing all Tool Room operations to improve the efficiency of plant equipment, with a
strong focus on safety, cost control, and product quality in an automotive manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have leadership experience working with CNC equipment in a
manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of tools, ensuring proper stock levels and organizing the tool roomfor easy verification of tool locations.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all tooling and equipment, and ensure tools aremaintained at the highest level, reporting any abuse.
  • Lead a multi-technical team across multiple shifts, ensuring open and effective communicationwithin the department and with other departments, external contractors, and vendors.
  • Initiate purchase order requests for component parts and raw materials.
  • Conduct risk assessments and make decisions to uphold high safety standards.
  • Facilitate corrective action and continuous improvement teams.
  • Prepare and coordinate tools for outgoing projects.
  • Approve associate timecards daily and ensure accurate completion of all attendance paperwork.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized tool room environment.
Qualifications:

2+ years experience working with CNC equipment (lathes, mills, etc)
Associate's degree or equivalent years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of CNC tooling.
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensions & Tolerance (GD&T) CMM measurements.
Experience with tool management software.
Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and documentation skills.
Team-oriented, strong communication skills, and the ability to interact at all levels.
