Delta Fuel Company is seeking an Accountant for our corporate office. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities, including reconciliations, budget variance reports, and general account analysis.

Reconcile multiple bank accounts

Prepare and file sales and use tax returns per state requirements

Prepare multiple reports needed for monthly ledger entries

Responsible for month-end close activities related to expenditure accruals, inter-company accounting, revenue accounting, and other areas as needed

Support periodic audit efforts with internal and external auditors.

Identifying new processes and reviewing existing ones to create a more efficient workflow and insuring controls for processes are accurate and compliant.

Leveraging technology to automate processes and procedures surrounding financial reporting and analysis and assuming ownership of special projects to develop and implement improvements in current processes and systems.

Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field

5+ years of experience in accounting

Ability to work independently with strong attention to details

Strong accounting, analytical and computer skills

Strong organization skills and ability to multitask
