Overview:

$17 / hour

Minimum Age Requirement: 16

As a ValleyScare Blackout, you will work in one of several maze/scare zones behind the scenes, ensuring the safety of guests and ValleyScare associates by enforcing park and maze rules and providing assistance as needed.

You'll also

• Treat associates and park guests cordially and with respect, courtesy, and fairness.
• Ensure safe operation of the attraction by ensuring guests are following the rules of the maze/scare zone.
• Assist guests who become lost, frightened, or disoriented, helping them find their way out of the maze or scare zone.
• Maintain a calm demeanor in emotionally charged situations in the attraction and react appropriately in stressful situations.
• Handle all props and equipment carefully to avoid injury to self, guests, or other associates, and to avoid damage to the props or attraction.
• Maintain familiarity with specific personalities and traits of the characters that are portrayed.

Qualifications:

• Must be available Fridays and Saturdays through the end of October.
• Ability to work alone with minimal supervision or in a team environment as needed.
• Ability to work in areas with strobe lighting effects.
• Ability to work in areas filled with heavy artificial fog.
• Ability to work with frequent loud noises.
• Ability to work in very dark areas.
• Ability to work with occasional contact with slippery/wet surfaces.
