Job description
The Sonographer performs ultrasounds and assists with procedures in a collaborative medical environment.
This is a part-time (0.8 FTE) position working daytime hours 4 days per week out of our Woodbury location, but may also support Edina. No weekends, holiday, or on-call work required.
Vascular & Interventional Experts is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare. Essential Functions:
Perform non-invasive lower extremity venous reflux testing independently
Extensive knowledge of the arterial system and deep and superficial venous systems
Perform resting and exercise arterial physiologic segmental pressures
General ultrasound scanning, including small parts, abdominal and pelvic
Ability to recognize pathology and accurately interpret results to providers
Room and prep patients for procedures
Care for ultrasound equipment and keep rooms clean, sanitized, and organized
Maintain certification and compliance with accrediting bodies
Provide excellent patient care
Team player. Able to adapt to changing priorities and embrace flexibility in a dynamic work environment.
Any and all other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
RVT Board Certified
Ability to travel to clinic locations across the metro up to 50%
Current CPR & BLS Certification
Essential Requirements:
Ability to:
Comply with company policies, procedures, practices and business ethics guidelines.
Complete job required training.
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)
Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance
Work in the clinic, office or surgery center during business hours
Travel independently throughout the clinic, office or surgery center (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, standing, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be required
Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines
Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner
Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations
Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Understand and execute a variety of instructions
Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system
Work independently with minimal supervision
Travel to other work locations, if required
