Job description

Title: Roving Leasing Specialist

Job Classification: Non-Exempt

Location: Multiple locations within the Real Estate Equities portfolio

Reports To: Director of Revenue and Leasing

Purpose: We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Roving Leasing Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Revenue and Leasing, this individual will play a pivotal role in driving occupancy rates and ensuring the success of the Real Estate Equities portfolio. The Roving Leasing Specialist will oversee all leasing activities for their assigned properties by actively nurturing leads, conducting tours, securing and processing applications, conducting move-in orientations and conducting renewal activities.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Travel between properties in the designated portfolio to conduct on-site leasing activities.

Collaborate with the Portfolio Leasing Manager to receive nurtured leads and scheduled appointments.

Conduct property tours, provide detailed information and benefits regarding the properties, and effectively close lease applications.

Facilitate the application process, screen potential applicants, and ensure all necessary documentation is collected accurately and efficiently.

Execute follow-up strategies with potential tenants to enhance lease conversions.

Organize and conduct move-in orientations for new residents, ensuring a smooth transition into the property.

Utilize social media and guerrilla marketing tactics to generate new leads and increase property visibility.

Maintain and update records of leasing activities and communications in the companys CRM system.

Collaborate with Director of Revenue and Leasing, Portfolio Leasing Specialist, property management teams, and marketing personnel to streamline leasing efforts and maintain a cohesive team approach.

Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company policies during all leasing activities.

Continuously enhance leasing skills and knowledge through participation in training programs, workshops, and industry seminars.


Non-Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform other duties, as assigned


Position Requirements:

Proven experience in leasing or sales, preferably in the multi-family industry

Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Results and solution-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving leasing and occupancy targets

Tech-savvy and familiar with property management software and CRM systems, Yardi experience preferred

Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and leasing best practices

Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team

Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and travel as-needed

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

Maintain professional office environment

Ability to read, write and understand English, bi-lingual preferred


Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for long periods of time at a desk

Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop and go upstairs as necessary


Monday through Friday some nights and weekends as necessary.
Full Time, 40 Hours

Compensation details: 19-24 Hourly Wage
