Are you looking for a rewarding, part-time opportunity that fits your schedule and allows you to make a real difference in someone's life? Whether you're a college student, stay-at-home parent, retiree, or someone looking to supplement your income, BrightPath LLC is offering a fulfilling position as an Individualized Home Support Specialist (IHSS) in the Elko New Market area. This is a great opportunity to work in a flexible, low-stress environment while helping a young adult build life skills and independence.

About the Role
In this role, you'll provide one-on-one support to a kind-hearted young adult who's working toward living independently in the future. They enjoy taking walks, listening to music, dancing, and staying active, including casual games of volleyball. Your primary responsibility will be to guide them through daily living skills, like meal planning, cooking, and light housework, all while making sure they feel supported and empowered in their journey.

You'll also have the opportunity to share in their interests and hobbies, whether it's listening to their favorite playlists, enjoying some fresh air on a walk, or engaging in light-hearted conversations. It's a position that balances practical assistance with meaningful human connection, perfect for someone who loves nurturing others and being part of a positive, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help with meal planning: creating grocery lists, budgeting, and sticking to a food plan
  • Supervise and assist with meal prepping and cooking, focusing on kitchen safety
  • Provide light assistance with house management, including chores and keeping the home organized
  • Offer friendly reminders for personal hygiene tasks to keep daily routines on track
  • Engage in casual outdoor activities like walks or encourage hobbies like listening to music and dancing
  • Support the client's progress in their personal growth and independent living goals
  • Ensure client safety when meeting and their ongoing well-being

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance
  • Ability to pass required background checks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and supportive demeanor
  • Flexible availability for afternoons and evenings (some weekends may be required)
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus but not required

This role offers a unique blend of flexibility, making it ideal for those who need a schedule that works around their other commitments. Whether you're balancing school, family, or another job, this position allows you to earn extra income while making a positive impact in someone's life. • Flexible part-time schedule that adapts to your life
  • A fulfilling opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone's journey toward independence
