ACCOUNTANT
ABOUT THE COMPANY:

We are currently seeking a talented Accountant for a mid-sized Twin Cities based organization. This role is open because the previous person in the position was promoted into a Senior Accountant role, so it is an organization that promotes from within. This company also has an excellent culture, and provides the flexibility their employees need.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT:

• Account Reconciliations.
• Handle month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts.
• Back up for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll.
• Audit contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepare reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to monthly close process.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

We are looking for an Accountant with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree (can be currently pursuing their Bachelor's degree). Someone with a solid work ethic, excellent judgment, and a desire to build a long-term career with this client. You should be highly organized and detail-oriented. It is also important that you are able to work effectively with minimal oversight, while also functioning well in a team environment.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED FOR THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT ROLE: • Associate's degree in Accounting Required; Bachelors degree in Accounting Preferred (In Process will be considered)
• 1+ years of relevant Finance/Accounting experience
• Team player, willingness to do what it takes to support team and finance organization goals
• Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills; ability to effectively communicate across organizational boundaries
• Strong systems skills
