Accounting Manager (Hybrid Work Model - 2 days per week in the office)

Our client is a growing manufacturing organization south and west of the metro. They are looking to add an Accounting leader to their team. This Manager will oversee 2-3 Staff and Senior Accountants. This leadership position will be overseeing monthly general ledger close, consolidation, and balance sheet integrity. The Accounting Manager will lead continuous process improvement, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to strategic decision-making. This position will report to the VP of Accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee general ledger accounting and consolidation.
• Manage month and quarter-end closing schedules.
• Oversee balance sheet and operating expense analysis.
• Lead the preparation of journal entries and reconciliations.
• Collaborate on non-standard transactions and research accounting topics.
• Identify and drive process improvements.
• Assist with system change requirements and testing.
• Handle confidential matters related to accounting and reporting.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and recruit, hire, and develop teammates.
• Assist with acquisition-related procedures and integration efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; Masters or equivalent preferred.
• CPA and Public accounting experience a plus.
• 4+ years in supporting accounting functions; 1+ years in a manager or supervisor role.
• GAAP general ledger close process expertise.
• Leadership, strategic focus, and team development skills.
• Passion for process and system improvement.
• Deep ERP and financial close systems experience; SAP and BPC skills a plus.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to analyze data, collaborate cross-functionally, and manage multiple tasks.
