Job Description: Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trust accounting, financial statement preparation, and reviewing tax returns for individuals and trusts. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage trust accounting, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial statements for family members.
  • Review and analyze tax returns for individuals and trusts, ensuring compliance with current tax laws.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support family members' financial goals.
  • Maintain and update accounting records and ledgers.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Support family members with ad-hoc financial queries and requests.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on trust accounting and tax return preparation.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement preparation, and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
